25th December Is Not Xmas.

Nearing or on 25th of December every year, i have seen and heard people write or say it time and again, “Merry Xmas”. Everytime i see or hear it i feel really weird. Why? Try imagining this; how would you feel if you receive a birthday card on your birthday and in it it was written; “Happy Birthday To You, Mr/Ms X”, or when they sing the birthday song to you they replace your name with “Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to X…..happy birthday to you!”

Do you get my drift? Christmas isĀ  about celebrating Jesus Christ’s birthday. God sent his son to earth to save human kind. It doesn’t matter if your religion is not christianity, the first part still holds true, christmas is about Jesus christ’s birthday. So, if we know it is someone’s birthday and we know his very name, how can we pretend we dont know about it and put an “X”? Isn’t that a tad impolite? You wont even do that to a stranger i bet. Right?

So, to all of you who happened to be reading this, i wish you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
